Getting there by foot might be possible, but is probably more hassle than its worth. While there are potentially eggs across the entire ravine, one place you can consistently find eggs is in the wall hollows between the two land bridges at the center of the lava river.Īerial view of the ravine location with wyvern eggs You'll know you are at the right place when you see the glowing red river and black columns.Īll along the left and right side of the canyon are hollowed out areas, most of which are empty, but some contain nests that spawn wyvern eggs. The area you are looking for is called the World Scar and is located at 75 Latitude, 25 Longitude. At the bottom is a lava river and a canyon absolutely filled to the brim with deadly wyverns. Over the mountains behind the red and blue obelisks is a trench area running the length between the two towers. Instead, you have to grab an egg and raise a wyvern from birth in order to tame one of these majestic airborne beasts. There' currently no way to tame a live, adult wyvern. They will alert you to incoming weather, and are super cute! Also, if you are getting chased, you can throw the jerboa as a distraction (mean tactic I know, but it works.so always keep a few on hand at your base.) You'll also want to work on getting a Thorny Dragon for wood, a Doedicurus for stone, and an Anky for metal when you're the proper level.Taming your own wyvern requires some serious setup to get done right, as the egg incubation period takes several in-game days and lots of fuel for either campfires or air conditioners.
*Other must have starter dinos - Tame a few jerboas. Terror Birds are also beastly and can kinda float/fly if needed. Direwolves will get a pack bonus, and don't need a saddle.perfect for a new player. There is no shortage of these dinos, so it's an easy tame. *Defense/offense dinos - Direwolves or Terror Birds. Also, they can store water.which is very needed on Scorched Earth. They can also harvest wood and thatch, but not as well. They can carry a decent amount and harvest berries and cactus sap (needed for adobe) very well. *Land dinos - I'd recommend a Morellatops. You'll need to bola them, because they flee when attacked. You'll want to stick with a low level tame at 1st, because if you don't have kibble, they take FOREVER to tame. It's pretty useful for making an escape and luring/kiting dinos into traps. They have a "spore" attack that can be used to slow hostile dinos. They are meant to be the starter flying dino. I play on an official PVE server, so my opinions are formed from that. Scorched Earth is my home, so I'm happy to share tips. Survive ARK - Tips, Tricks, Tools and News
